Artifact: Bridge (A physical Symbol of Connection, Movement and Progress)

A bridge is one of the few things humanity builds that is never meant to keep people in.

It is built to help them move beyond.

When the River Niger Bridge was completed in 1965, it did more than connect Onitsha and Asaba. It replaced ferries with certainty, shortened journeys, strengthened trade, and brought communities closer together across one of Africa's great rivers. The bridge was steel and concrete, but the real purpose it carried was connection.

This is the hidden meaning of every bridge.

It does not erase distance.

It gives people the courage to cross it.

That is why bridges have always mattered to civilization.

They remind us that progress is not about standing where we are.

It is about reaching where we could not go before.
